• Vignoble champenois baigné de lumière à l'aube
  • Production times: how long it takes to create a personalized champagne

You have an event in two months. A product launch in six weeks. A company anniversary in three months. The same question always comes up: “Can it be done in time?”

At Bulles Signature, we support projects with a wide range of deadlines. Some are planned a year in advance, others come in urgently. Here is what you need to know to plan ahead properly.

    The typical project timeline

    Phase 1: brief and quote

You contact us and we discuss your project: quantities, finishes, cuvée, delivery date. Our team replies within 48 business hours with initial feedback and the information needed to refine your project. The quote details the options selected and the schedule.

    Phase 2: graphic design

Our creative team designs your label: first mock-up, exchanges, adjustments, then validation of the proof (BAT). The duration depends on the complexity of the design and on how quickly you respond to feedback.

    Phase 3: production

This is the most variable phase, depending on the finish you choose. Indicative production times:

    • Classic paper: 1 to 2 weeks
    • Gilding, relief and spot varnish: 4 to 6 weeks
    • Luminous: 5 to 6 weeks
    • Screen printing on glass: 6 to 8 weeks
    • Tin: 8 to 12 weeks

These times are the ones given in the finish sheets on the Personalization page.

    Phase 4: delivery

Tracked shipping in France, in Europe and internationally, with carriers suited to wine (notably Geodis and FedEx). Delivery times and formalities vary depending on the destination.

    What can extend the timelines

    • An incomplete brief: if the graphic elements (vector logo, brand guidelines) are missing, the design work falls behind. Our design brief guide helps you gather everything.
    • Multiple rounds of changes: every design modification adds days. A clear brief upfront limits the iterations.
    • Complex finishes: tin or multi-color screen printing require additional steps.
    • Periods of high demand: year-end, Mother's Day and Father's Day, summer. The workshop's workload affects the timelines.
    • Late validation: if you take a week to validate each step, the schedule stretches by the same amount.

Moving fast without compromising the result

Running behind on your schedule? There are solutions:

    • Simplify the design: reducing graphic complexity speeds up validation and production.
    • Choose a faster finish: switching from a tin project (8 to 12 weeks) to a premium paper with gilding (4 to 6 weeks) significantly shortens the timeline.
    • Validate quickly: if you are responsive, so will we be.

Fast-track must never compromise quality. We would rather suggest a new date than a rushed result.

    Sample schedule for an event

Take the example of a corporate event scheduled for November 15.

    Comfortable option: 12 weeks before

    • Mid-August: first contact and brief
    • Late August: mock-up validation
    • September and October: production
    • Early November: delivery, with a safety margin

    Tight option: 6 weeks before

    • Early October: complete brief with all the elements
    • Week 1: express design and validation
    • Weeks 2 to 5: priority production
    • Week 6: just-in-time delivery

The first option allows every finish, including tin. The second requires choices: classic paper or gilding, relief and spot varnish.

    Frequently asked questions about timelines

Can a personalized champagne be created in 2 weeks?

For a classic paper label (1 to 2 weeks of production) with a design validated immediately, it is theoretically possible. In practice, it is risky and stressful: we advise against it.

    Are the timelines guaranteed?

The quote specifies the schedule for your project. If something unexpected happens, we tell you immediately and we look for solutions together.

Can you store the bottles and deliver later?

Yes. We can produce in advance and keep your bottles in our cellars for delivery on a fixed date or in stages.

    Are reorders faster?

Once the design is validated, a reorder skips the design step. The timeline then depends on the finish and the workshop's workload: we give you the date when you place the order.

    Plan ahead, breathe easy

The best advice we can give you: plan ahead. A project launched three months before the deadline gives you room for premium finishes, creative adjustments and a stress-free delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions About Personalized Champagne

    The Offer & the Concept

Bulles Signature offers a bespoke champagne creation service for professionals and individuals. We combine cuvées from independent Champagne winemakers with custom design and premium finishes (paper, tin, screen printing, gilding, Luminous, etc.) to produce a unique signature bottle.

We work with a small circle of independent winegrowers, mainly in the Marne Valley. Each cuvée is selected for its character, consistency, and the quality of its terroir.

For any project, brand or event: hotels and restaurants, businesses (client gifts, launches, seminars), agencies and wedding planners, and individuals for exceptional moments. We adapt the level of finish to the context and budget.

    1) Initial contact or online quote. 2) Discussion about your identity, volumes, and finishes. 3) Proposals for wine blend and mock-ups. 4) Validation of a proof (good to print). 5) Production and labeling. 6) Tracked delivery, in France or internationally.

Our team aims for a 48-hour business day turnaround with initial feedback and elements to refine your project (vintage, finish, lead time, budget estimate).

    Finishes & design

Our in-house creative team designs mock-ups based on your brand guidelines, visuals, or a brief. We iterate until the final rendering is approved, then we move on to production.

We offer, among other things: classic and premium paper (textures, selective varnish, hot foil stamping), pewter labels, screen printing on glass, Luminous effects, as well as the customization of capsules, neck collars, and corks, depending on volumes and specifications.

Yes. No final production is launched without explicit validation of the print proof, to ensure colors, positioning, and readability on the bottle.

Yes: sleeves, cardboard or wooden boxes, custom inserts: the unboxing experience is part of the project. Options depend on volume and timeline; we integrate them from the quote phase.

    Prices & quantities

The minimum order is 48 bottles for our custom offers. Volume tiers (120, 300, 480, 960, 1440...) allow for optimizing the unit price.

Yes. The price per bottle decreases as the volume increases. The quote details the chosen options (vintage, finish, packaging) and the timeline.

As an indication, for orders of 48 bottles or more, a common price range is around €22 to €29 excluding VAT per bottle depending on the cuvée and finish. The final quote depends on the design, technical options, and exact volume.

Creative support and mock-ups are included in our turnkey process for the vast majority of standard projects. For very specific requests (complex illustration, image rights, exceptional volume of revisions), we will indicate this clearly in the quote.

    Delivery & Shipping

Lead times vary depending on the finish and workshop workload. Generally, allow approximately 1 to 6 weeks after validation and signed print approval, for example quicker for classic paper, longer for certain advanced finishes like Luminous.

Yes. We organize shipments to France, Europe, and internationally with wine-specialized carriers, including our partners Geodis and FedEx. Delivery times and formalities may vary depending on the destination.

We use shatterproof packaging and bottle-specific cushioning to minimize risks until delivery.
